I'm an amateur photographer with a focus on travel photography and a special interest in the mountainous regions of the world. I was born 1971 in Hamburg, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany (weather permitting). Apart from photography, I'm also interested in going to the movies, music, literature and all sorts of outdoor activities.

All photographs were taken with a Canon 35mm SLR camera (EOS 600/630 & EOS 30/ELAN 7e) and a rather small selection of lenses. The reasonably priced Canon 28-105/3,5-4,5 USM lens has been my standard lens for quite a long time. Only recently, I bought my first Canon 'premium' lens (24-105/4L IS). I shoot slide film exclusively. That is for the most part Kodak Elite Chrome 100.

To put the images on the web, the photographs were scanned with Nikon's excellent film scanner Coolscan V ED (LS-50). Scan software is LaserSoft's SilverFast Ai. I have used Adobe Photoshop for adjustments, if necessary. None of the images have been manipulated though and 'faithfully' represent what the photographer saw and the camera captured.
